The Essence of Lean System EN

This training introduces the core concept of the Lean system — value-added work.
All Lean tools and methods ultimately serve one main purpose: to increase the share of value-adding activities in your processes.

During the training, you will learn:

  • What defines value-adding work and how to distinguish it from non-value-adding work.
  • How to engage your organization in continuous process improvement.

The Lean system is often described as a way to “do more with less.”
Why this seemingly paradoxical statement is true will become clear after you complete this training and the accompanying practical exercises.

The full training, including tasks, takes approximately 9 minutes to complete.

Upon completing this course, you are encouraged to proceed with reading the following books:

  • „The Toyota Way to Lean Leadership“ – Jeffrey K. Liker ir Gary L. Convis,
  • „The Toyota Way Fieldbook“ – Jeffrey K. Liker ir David Meier,
  • „Toyota Culture: The Heart and Soul of the Toyota Way“ – Jeffrey K. Liker ir Michael Hoseus.
